CAM is computer-aided manufacturing. It turns the finalised, approved design into tangible products using our sliding head CNC machining services.

We manufacture complex precision components from the design stage through to production runs of up to one million parts. Our customers work in aerospace, defence, oil and gas, nuclear energy and interconnect sectors, where component quality, accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable.
How Our CAD/CAM Process Works
Our process is designed to reduce risk, improve accuracy and maximise efficiency at every stage of manufacturing.
The customer provides their technical drawing. From this, our engineering team creates detailed 3D models within the CAD/CAM software, defining the manufacturing process and programming the part with precision. Before any physical manufacturing begins, simulations are run to verify that the machining process will perform as intended. This step identifies and resolves potential issues before they reach the production floor, saving time and reducing waste.
Once the simulation is approved, our sliding head CNC machines manufacture the first run of parts. Critically, whilst the machine is running, our engineers use the offline CAD/CAM system to prepare programming for the next components required. This parallel working approach means machines are kept productive and customer projects move forward without unnecessary delays between production runs.
The result is a faster, more efficient process from first drawing to final component.

Materials we work with include brass, copper, stainless steel, nickel iron, duplex and exotic alloys. We machine components from 0.2mm to 42mm in diameter, accommodating everything from micro components to standard production parts. Production volumes range from single prototypes through to one million parts, with batch sizes tailored to customer requirements.
