How the Astec Precision Team Connects On and Off the Clock

The Astec team believe connecting isn’t only for the workshop – it’s also for having a great time together!
For the past three years, our team has been letting off steam with some great outings, and the stories keep getting better. This year, we took to the racecourse once again and hit the Haydock Park racecourse for our second horse racing adventure. We had a brilliant time (even if our bets didn’t always pan out), enjoying the sunshine with refreshing drinks, good banter and watching the horses storming down the final stretch.
Last year, our second day out to raise our spirits was at a whisky distillery in the Lake District, giving us a taste of another kind of precision: the fine art of whisky-making.
Eddie Young, our Managing Director who hails from Scotland, may have wondered at first, ‘do the English really know how to make whisky?’. Well, after a few tastings, who knows? Rest assured though, we don’t think the malt masters of Speyside need to worry too much.
Every year we look forward to choosing our next team day out to give us a chance to unwind and get to know each other beyond the shop. These team building days remind us why working at Astec is not only rewarding but a whole lot of fun.
Cheers to the next round. Who knows where we’ll head next?
