The Lakes Road Club held their first road race in Ulverston after five years. It was a great success and the team would like to thank Astec Precision for their support and sponsorship to help make this possible.
The race was a fantastic success and had support from the public on the route. Without the volunteers this race would never have gone ahead so a big thank you for those who turned up to do this, including the British Cycling team.
It was a 7 lap circuit of 56 miles with 40 riders taking part. The race winner was number 13 (unlucky for some but not for him) Jake Edwards. Richard Butler was 1st Vet and James Ingham took 1st Junior.
We’re delighted to support events like this in our community and it’s great to see so many people enjoying a great day out.
